Greetings current and potential members,
Please, read this letter written by the Drumline Instructor, Scott Szurek, to give you some insight into the audition process for the Fall 2013 Drumline. Click here to view the letter!

Audition Materials: Pregame sequence, Sticks and Swing, and Homey the jam

Returning Members:

Date of Audition: April 28th, 1:00pm - 6:00pm

Returning members who make the line are expected to attend the summer camps except those marching drum corps or those who have made arrangements with Scott and Mr. Smyth. Those who do not make the line may reaudition with the potential members.

Potential Members:

Dates of Audition: August 18th, 5:00pm - 10:00pm & August 19th, 8:00am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 5:00pm

Auditions will be begin promptly at 5:00 PM in room 102 of Music Hall on campus at Iowa State University. Please be there on time and prepared to work hard. For directions to the building click here.
The final decissions will be made by the end of the afternoon rehearsal on August 19th.

Camp Dates: Highly advised to attend!!!

Yamaha Sounds of Summer - June 8th & 9th
ISU Drumline - June 22nd & July 27th, 1:00pm - 6:00pm

The Final Drumline:

Required rehearsals:

• Band Camp: August 19th - 25th
• Daily rehearsals 4:30-5:50 pm, You must sign up for Music 114A
• Morning rehearsal prior to all home games and exhibitions
• Drumline rehearsals, Thursday evenings 7:00-10:00 pm
• Sectionals (weekly)

The Iowa State Drumline is a dedicated group, continuously striving for improvement. While our rehearsal and performance schedule might seem overwhelming, please remember we are also committed to having fun. We look for members with a positive attitude who are willing to work hard to deliver an outstanding performance.
