Natalie SteeleAssistant Director of BandsNatalie Steele is coming to Iowa State University from the University of North Texas where she has been working to complete a PhD in Music Education. Prior to her doctoral work, Ms Steele served for six years as Associate Director of Bands at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. In addition to her duties with the band program, she also taught music education courses, supervised student teachers, taught the low brass studio, and served as the conductor for the ACU Theatre. Ms. Steele attended the University of Oklahoma and Ohio University where she earned the Bachelor of Music Education degree and Master of Music degrees in Trombone Performance and Wind Conducting. She taught in the public schools of Ohio for six years where her ensembles received consistent superior ratings at district and state events. Her biography is published in the 6th, 7th, 9th, & 11th editions of Who's Who Among America's Teachers. She holds memberships in Phi Kappa Phi, Pi Kappa Lambda, Tau Beta Sigma, Mu Phi Epsilon, Music Educators National Conference, the College Band Directors National Association, and the Texas Music Educators Association. Ms Steele has guest conducted and served as a clinician in several states as well performed as a trombonist in orchestras and ensembles throughout New Mexico, Ohio and Texas.
