Robert Blue Middle School of Eagle Grove, Iowa, has again held a Renaissance Faire. This once every four years undertaking is the culminating activity of a unit integrated throughout all curriculum areas and involving all students in grades 5 through 8. What a sight it was to see school buses emptying their cargo of students dressed in their Renaissance garb! Antiqua members provided a morning performance designed to acquaint students with instruments and sounds authentic to the era. The day's activities also included a parade, royalty, a mounted knight, a petting zoo, games of skill, maypole dancing, lots of shops, and snacks.
